Manning Update II

Peyton Manning met with the Tennessee Titans for well over six hours today. Manning needs to make a decision of who to sign with soon, as four teams are waiting upon his choice. The Broncos, Cardinals, and Dolphins are anxiously waiting for Manning.

Cowboys Sign Carr

The Dallas Cowboys signed CB Brandon Carr for a five-year deal. The 25-year-old cornerback is going to help fix the Cowboys’ defensive back woes. Carr played with the Chiefs in 2011.

Chargers Make Big Moves

The San Diego Chargers signed WR Robert Meachem and LB Jarret Johnson today. Meachem is going to replace WR Vincent Jackson, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers yesterday. San Diego needs defensive help, and Johnson will immediately boost the Chargers on that side of the ball. The Chargers also resigned OT Jared Gaither.

Megatron Resigns With Lions

WR Calvin Johnson, currently one of the NFL’s best receivers, signed an eight-year, nearly $130 Million contract with the Lions, according to Jason La Canfora. Johnson now will be a significant piece of the Detroit Lions’ future headlined by young quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Robinson Signs With Jacksonville

WR Laurent Robinson, who played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2011, signed with the wideout-needy Jacksonville Jaguars. Robinson will immediately bring firepower to the Jaguars’ offense.

Eagles Resign DJax

After being franchise tagged by the Eagles just a couple weeks ago, WR/RS DeSean Jackson signed a titanic contract with the franchise today. According to Jason La Canfora, Jackson’s deal is worth $48.5 Million. 

Hillis To Sign With KC

Powerful running back Peyton Hillis has come to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, a 2009 breakout, is coming of an ACL injury that sidelined him for the majority of the 2011 season. Hillis will be a fantastic second-string running back.

Soliai Resigns With Miami

NT Paul Soliai resigned with the Miami Dolphins on a two-year contract. $6 Million is guaranteed, with a maximum of $12 Million. Soliai was going to visit with the Denver Broncos.

Cole Extends Contract

Defensive end Trent Cole extended his contract with the Eagles all the way to 2017. Cole has consistently racked up sacks. For the past few years, Cole has put up Pro Bowl numbers.
