A day after ProFootballGolden decided where Ryan Tannehill should be drafted, we’ll take a look at where Boise State Bronco DE/OLB Shea McClellin should be drafted.
Just as of late, the pass rusher has been flying up big boards. He recorded a 4.63 40-yard dash time, which is not too shabby for a 6’3”, 260-pound athlete. However, his size could be considered as a negative considering he will be opposing skyscraping offensive linemen.
McClellin possesses immense speed off the ball and is a monstrous pass rusher. He pursues the ball carrier efficiently, but struggles against the ground game. On the other hand, he has shown glimpses of improvement, including a play where he hurdled a blocker to thwart the running back for a minimal gain.
McClellin is a projected late first round fit. Most mock draft have the Green Bay Packers selecting him with the 28th pick overall, but truth be told he should be a mid-round pick with all of his potential and upside.
