The Buffalo Bills have signed elusive quarterback Vince Young.
VY had a spectacular college career with the Texas Longhorns, but, for the most part, his football career has spiraled downward.
After a tumultuous stint with the Tennessee Titans, the Philadelphia Eagles brought him in last season in hopes that they could develop him into an illustrious signal caller.
In short, VY’s one-year duty was horrendous.
In three games, Michael Vick’s backup threw for four touchdowns, which is not bad at all for a backup quarterback. Young, however, threw for nine interceptions in those three ball games.
He was an unreliable backup, but has the opportunity to redeem himself and work up the Bills’ depth chart to the second string spot.
The newly acquired quarterback’s first step will be beating out fellow signal caller Tyler Thigpen.
