Debating Points: Should The Pro Bowl Continue?

Last year, we had the same debate.

The Pro Bowl has surfaced controversy in recent years. Effort has been lacking—but why blame the players? They don’t want to get injured and the game does not mean anything.

Baltimore Raven and San Francisco 49er Pro Bowlers won’t be in Honolulu, either. The Ravens and Niners have elite on their roster, and we won’t be seeing them until February 3rd.

Many players are injured, so it truly won’t be the NFL’s finest. There will be plenty of talent to gaze upon, but we will  be missing many A1 NFL players.

After this year, the Pro Bowl should be cancelled. An alternative could be a punt-pass-and-kick competition or a skills camp in general featuring the NFL’s finest. Events could be longest throw, consistent throw, catch in traffic, and so on. It is a much-needed solution to the Pro Bowl.
