QB David Garrard was productive for the Jacksonville Jaguars for a solid chunk of time. His New York Jet career, however, ended in one offseason.

QB David Garrard has decided to hang up his cleats due to lingering knee issues. Even as a clipboard holder, Garrard would have offered solid veteran presence on the struggling Jets.
The Jets are stuck with QB’s Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Matt Simms, and Greg McElroy. Sanchez is horrendous, Smith is a rookie, and Simms is a turbulent backup. McElroy can excite a franchise, and he is their best option going forward.
LB Rolando McClain had talent and athleticism coming out of Alabama. He was certainly a reach at the eighth overall pick, and never lived up to his expectations.
The Oakland Raiders received minimal bang for their buck regarding to LB Rolando McClain. He played three lackadaisical seasons for the Silver and Black.
McClain had a string of arrests plague his reputation, and his on field play took a toll. He never played consistently or productively for the Raiders.
McClain was scooped up by the Baltimore Ravens, but abruptly decided to retire at age 23. His NFL career is currently over, but don’t be shocked if he tries to come back to the league.
