Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Williams has been a standout during his three years in the NFL.

In 2010, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers snagged WR Mike Williams out of Syracuse in the fourth round of the draft. In short, they struck gold.

In three years of NFL play, Williams has tallied 2731 receiving yards and 23 receiving touchdowns. His expectations are skyrocketing.

On Wednesday, the Bucs announced that they have signed the 6’2″, 212-pound wideout to a new six-year deal (five-year extension) which will carry him through the 2018 season. It is worth $40.25 Million.

With Williams, WR Vincent Jackson, and RB Doug Martin, the Bucs have a lot of offensive firepower. The prodigious question now is if QB Josh Freeman can capitalize on his arsenal, because 2013 third round draft pick QB Mike Glennon is waiting right behind him.

In other Buccaneers news, they added RB Peyton Hillis.
