Matt Ryan had a fantastic 2012 campaign, but the Atlanta Falcons now have Super Bowl ambitions.
Following a 2012 campaign with 4719 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a trip to the NFC Championship game, Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan was rewarded with a hefty contract on Thursday.
Ian Rapoport tweeted that Thursday’s deal consisted of for five years and worth $103,750,000 ($59 Million guaranteed). Ryan will make $20.75 Million per year ($63 Million in the first three years).
Ryan and the Falcons have one goal in mind this year: the Super Bowl. TE Tony Gonzalez came out of retirement to play in 2013, and veteran RB Steven Jackson joined the squad in the offseason. The Falcons are geared for a Super Bowl in the next few years, but especially in 2013.
