Miller scores a pick six.

Denver Broncos OLB Von Miller is undoubtedly the centerpiece of his defense. Last season, Miller compiled 18.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and a pick six along with 55 total tackles.

Well, Denver will be without Miller for the first six regular season games because he violated league policy. He didn’t necessarily test positive, but nonetheless he violated a rule.

Miller’s urine sample was found diluted, according to USA Today.

The Broncos’ pass rushing unit is in tremendous trouble now. The reigning AFC West champions already lost DE Elvis Dumervil via free agency, and DE Derek Wolfe was removed from their recent preseason game by an ambulance.

The Broncos’ front seven is crushed. They brought in DE/OLB Shaun Phillips via free agency, and it may be wise to haul in yet another veteran edge rusher. Meanwhile, the pressure mounts on the secondary and the offense.

The Broncos’ first six games are as follows.

  1. vs. Baltimore
  2. at New York (G)
  3. vs. Oakland
  4. vs. Philadelphia
  5. at Dallas
  6. vs. Jacksonville

Denver has their work cut out for them now that their defensive standout is suspended.
