Schaub has endured a rough season thus far.
The Houston Texans were set for a great season, one that would slingshot them deep in the playoffs.
They have the offensive weapons. They have the defensive cornerstones. They have the coaching. However, one factor has been a weak link this season.
QB Matt Schaub has tossed nine interceptions and essentially was the source of their Week 5 slaughtering via the San Francisco 49ers. He has been a turnover machine, and it shows in the Houston’s 2-3 record.
The Texans can help Schaub regain his firepower by running the ball and utilizing heavy play action passes, primarily to WR’s Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins. They run the outside zone run to RB Arian Foster excessively, and they can naked bootleg directly from that play.
The “run to play action” method is arguably the top way to rev up signal callers’ engines, and Houston needs just that from Schaub.
