Debating Points: Why Has Seattle’s Hype Settled?

Toward the second half of the 2012 season, the Seahawks’ mighty bandwagon doubled in size. QB Russell Wilson and co. racked up mesmerizing amounts of points week in and week out, and the defense was stingy.

The Seahawks eventually were eliminated from the playoffs, but were favored by many to win the NFC in 2013. The hype engulfed the young, upstart powerhouse from the Pacific Northwest.

This season, the publicity simmered. Attention shifted from Seattle to topics like the winless New York Giants and the undefeated Denver Broncos.

However, the Seahawks have kept on chugging on. After a Thursday Night Football victory against the Arizona Cardinals, the electrifying squad is sitting pretty at 6-1.

The other NFL news have stolen headlines from Seattle, but that does not take away from their win tally.
