Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne was an integral target for QB Andrew Luck.
Among other Week 7 headlines (check out tomorrow’s Week In Review post), injuries hit multiple teams hard.
Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (ACL—Season-Ending): Amidst an emotional victory over former Colts QB Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, Wayne went down with a torn ACL. He was having yet another productive season, but this one will be cut short after suffering the devastating injury.
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (Torn Groin—Minimum Four Weeks): The 4-3 Bears can ill afford another rough stretch like the one they just endured (1-3 in last four weeks). They’ll be without Cutler for four weeks, but the bye week ahead helps them a slight bit.
St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ACL—Season-Ending): In seven games, Bradford has displayed drastic improvement. He tossed 14 touchdowns and four interceptions, but his 2013 season has been cut short due to a torn ACL. He’ll have 11 months to get back to full speed.
Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (Torn LCL, Broken Fibula—Season-Ending): After a torn ACL in 2012, Cushing was primed for a comeback season. Right after his recovery, Cushing tore his LCL and broke his leg.
