Blackmon has had a shaky two-week stretch following two monster performances.
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon missed the season’s first four games due to a substance-abuse related suspension. Blackmon played from Week 5-8, totaling a respective 136, 190, 58, and 31 yard tally.
Within a month of his return to the gridiron, Blackmon was suspended again for violating the NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy. However, this time around he is suspended indefinitely. He is eligible for reinstatement application before the 2014 season.
Blackmon is one of the most talented young receivers in the NFL, but shot himself in the foot again. Blackmon’s immature decisions will continue to cloud his football future unless he grows up.
It would be devastating if Blackmon’s string of suspensions continued. It will work him out of the league, and the best thing for him to do is get all the help he needs.
