Mike Tomlin has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

NFL Vice President of Operations Ray Anderson fined Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin $100K for interfering with on-field play. A loss of a future draft pick is a possibility.

During a Thanksgiving, 22-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Tomlin was looking at the scoreboard during a Ravens’ kick return by WR Jacoby Jones.

Jones was sprinting close to the sideline, and Tomlin was standing on the field. Faced away from Jones, the latter had to alter his path to the end zone in order to veer away from Tomlin, and his change in direction caused him to lose momentum and be tackled by a Steeler.

If the punishment was solely a fine, the media would have moved on from this odd situation. However, the possibility of a draft pick loss keeps a cloud of uncertainty looming over the Steelers.
