The Monday following Week 17 is typically filled with HC firings.
The Washington Redskins have announced that HC Mike Shanahan has been fired.

This comes after their 2013 campaign concluded with an abysmal 3-13 record. Shanahan led the team to the playoffs in 2012, but could not replicate the performance.
QB Robert Griffin III, who was a rookie standout, took a large step back following a late-season ACL injury in early 2013. The trade that allowed the Redskins to draft RG3 shipped away a much-needed 2014 first round pick, one that will likely be in the top five.
Minnesota Vikings HC Leslie Frazier was also let go on “Black Monday.”

The Vikings finished 5-10-1 and struggled to keep up with their NFC North counterparts. They cycled through quarterbacks, and will have to address that need in the offseason.
The Cleveland Browns are also in line for a new signal caller, as well as a new Head Coach. HC Rob Chudzinski was fired on Monday.

“Chud” only spent one year with the team, and posted a 4-12 record.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers HC Greg Schiano spent two years with his squad, but was also let go on Black Monday. Bucs GM Mark Dominik was fired, notably.
