The upcoming playoffs feature multiple stacked teams with Super Bowl or bust mindsets.
AFC (5) Kansas City Chiefs @ AFC (4) Indianapolis Colts
Saturday, 4:35 PM EST, NBC
The Scoop: The 11-5 Chiefs have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround since their 2-14 2012 campaign. However, they have lost five of their last seven. In Week 16, these two squads played each other in KC, and the Colts won 23-7. Colts QB Andrew Luck has won big games at home, and will do it again come Saturday.
The Pick: Colts, 31, Chiefs, 24
NFC (6) New Orleans Saints @ NFC (3) Philadelphia Eagles
Saturday, 8:10 PM EST, NBC
The Scoop: The Saints have been slightly under the radar this season, while the Eagles have been in the spotlight. Eagles QB Nick Foles has been spectacular since seizing the starting reigns. However, the Saints have the league’s fourth-best defense, and QB Drew Brees will sling the ball miles against the Eagles’ league worst pass defense.
The Pick: Saints, 38, Eagles, 20
AFC (6) San Diego Chargers @ AFC (3) Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, 1:05 PM EST, CBS
The Scoop: The Chargers barely stumbled into the playoffs, but this team is not a joke. In the regular season, QB Phillip Rivers threw for 4478 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He will face the NFL’s 3rd-best defense, however. The Cincinnati defense has a YPG mark of 305.5, and will keep their team’s Super Bowl hopes alive.
The Pick: Bengals, 34, Chargers, 20
NFC (5) San Francisco 49ers @ NFC (3) Green Bay Packers
Sunday, 4:40 PM EST, FOX
The Scoop: The Niners have been overshadowed by the division rival Seattle Seahawks, despite that the San Francisco defense allowed has allowed an average of only 316.9 yards per game. On the opposing side, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers returned to the field in Week 17, propelling his team to a victory against the Chicago Bears in a must-win situation. Green Bay is equipped to win in cold-weather situations, and this game’s forecast is tipping between 0º and -5º.
The Pick: Packers, 24, 49ers, 16
