Thursday Night Football has become more and more popular in recent years.
Along with CBS Corp. President and CEO Leslie Moonves and CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that CBS will air eight Thursday Night Football Games.
The eight CBS-broadcasted TNF games will be simulcasted on NFL Network and will take place in the first half of the season. NFL Network will also air eight games in the second half of the season. Two of the 16 games will take place on Saturday.
NFL Network analysts are in charge of pre-game, halftime, and post-game discussion.
The deal lasts through 2014 with a 2015 option.
