Scouting Combine Review (Sunday)

Dri Archer stood out on Sunday.

Notes:

RB Dri Archer clocked a 4.26 40-yard dash. The 5’7″, 173-pound prospect clocked the fastest 40 thus far.

Pittsburg State (KS) WR Josh Brown gave his draft stock a boost with a strong Combine. Brown performed well in wideout drills and clocked a 4.34 40.

QB Logan Thomas ran the fastest 40-yard dash of the quarterback group. Thomas, who stands at 6’6″, 248 pounds, ran a 4.61. He has plenty of talent but was very inconsistent throughout his college career.

QB Johnny Manziel clocked a 4.68 40-yard dash. Manziel hasn’t drawn immense amount of media attention thus far.

Wide Receiver prospects didn’t disappoint at the Combine. WR Brandin Cooks clocked a 4.33. WR Sammy Watkins clocked a 4.43. WR Mike Evans clocked a 4.53. Evans looked sharp in the Wide Receiver drills.

DE/OLB Michael Sam’s 17-rep bench press tied for second-worst in the Defensive Line unit. DE Jadeveon Clowney totaled 21 reps, which was very disappointing.
