Lions Owner Ford Sr. Passes Away

Ford Sr. was an icon in the city of Detroit. 

Detroit Lions owner and chairman William Clay Ford Sr. passed away of pneumonia at age 88.

Ford was an icon for the Lions and the entire city of Detroit. He was the last surviving grandson of Henry Ford, an automotive pioneer.

Ford purchased the Lions for $4.5 Million in 1963. In 2013, Forbes estimated that the Lions were worth $900 Million.
