Bills Owner Passes Away

Wilson was a football icon.

Buffalo Bills owner and founder Ralph Wilson Jr. passed away at the age of 95.

Wilson bought the Bills in 1959. The Bills were in the AFL at the time.

The franchise’s stadium is entitled Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills lit one light of the stadium in remembrance of Wilson.

Per, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated, “Ralph Wilson was a driving force in developing pro football into America’s most popular sport.”

Wilson, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was integral in the development of the NFL and football as a sport.
