Sherman and his big-hitting defensive counterparts spearheaded the Seahawks’ Super Bowl campaign. During the regular season, the Seahawks’ defense posted a remarkable 172.0 passing yards/game average.

The 6’3″, 195-pound Stanford product picked off eight passes in 2013. His physicality and lengthy frame isolated receivers on the perimeter throughout the season.

Sherman was in the nation’s spotlight when he delivered one of the most memorable post-game interviews. After the ‘Hawks knocked off the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship, Sherman’s raw emotional flowed onto television screens.

Success does come with a prodigious price tag, however. FS Earl Thomas, another integral portion in the lumber-laying Legion of Boom, landed a four-year, $40 Million contract in late April.

While the Seahawks have dished out heavy contracts, hoisting the Lombardi Trophy while engulfed in confetti is priceless.
