Gordon was a top-tier receiver in 2014.
Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon could receive a season-long suspension, per Outside the Lines. Gordon tested positive for marijuana.
According to Fansided, he “has not gone a year dating back to high school without a drug related issue.” Gordon was suspended for two games in 2013 for—you guessed it—violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Gordon registered 87 receptions for 1646 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013 in his second year out of Baylor. Gordon’s production was stellar regardless of inconsistent quarterback play.
Gordon’s absence would be a major blow to Cleveland. QB’s Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer will be without one of the league’s top wideouts.
The Browns passed on drafting a single receiver in the draft. TE Jordan Cameron will especially need to step up, considering the likelihood of a rookie quarterback at the helm.
If Gordon doesn’t somehow fix his drug woes, the dreaded indefinite-length suspension will destroy his career.
