Baldwin was part of the Super Bowl-winning squad.
WR Doug Baldwin inked a 2-year extension with the Seattle Seahawks, according to Ian Rapoport. Baldwin’s contract could unravel into a third year with his RFA tender.
In 2013, Baldwin recorded 50 receptions for 778 yards and five touchdowns (15.6 yards/rec avg). During the Super Bowl Baldwin hauled in five receptions for 66 yards and one touchdown (13.2 yards/rec avg).
As a franchise, the Seahawks are infamous for their shutdown defense and power run game, so the No. 2 receiver is oftentimes overlooked. However, Baldwin is integral to Seattle’s offense and the extension was a necessity for the franchise.
