Washington was suspended four games last season for violating the same policy. The former TCU standout was arrested on two counts of assault earlier in May, notably.
Washington has established himself as one of the top linebackers in the league. The 27-year old racked up 59 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and two interceptions in his shortened 2013 campaign.
As a franchise, Arizona ended up with a 10-6 record. However, due to the sheer strength of the NFC West, the Cards failed to reach the playoffs.
The Cardinals are certainly hunting down a playoff berth, and their secondary—featuring the likes of CB’s Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie—will need to pick up the slack left by Washington.
