Nelson has been a top target in the NFL.
Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson signed a four-year, $39 Million ($14.2 Million guaranteed) extension, per Ian Rapoport.
In 2013, Nelson posted 85 receptions, 1314 receiving yards (15.5 yards/rec avg), and eight touchdowns. The 6’3″, 217-pound receiver reached career highs in receptions and receiving yards.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been firing passes to Nelson since the wideout was selected in the second round of the 2008 draft.
Nelson is integral to the Packers’ offense, which ranked third league-wide last regular season. The unit has ranked in the Top 10 for seven of the past eight seasons.
Nelson’s veteran presence and sheer production add tremendous consistency to the offense. The Packers’ front office was very smart to make the extension happen.
