Andy Dalton has been heavily scrutinized.
Per Adam Schefter, Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton signed a six-year, $115 Million extension.
Dalton, who is entering his fourth year in the NFL, is under contract through 2020. Dalton is 6’2″, 215 pounds, and a TCU product.
Dalton is solid in the regular season. In 2013, Dalton completed 363 of his 586 passes (61.9 completion percentage) for 4293 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 20 picks.
Dalton’s Bengals posted a very respectable 11-5 record. The 26-year old has led his team to the playoffs in each of his three NFL seasons.
He’s 0-3 in the playoffs. Quarterbacks are judged partially by statistics, but playoff success makes and breaks legacies.
Dalton needs to stay consistent and post W’s from September through December. But when January rolls in, Cincy’s winning ways must continue for Dalton to be worth north of $100 Million.
