Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne will be the team’s starter, per Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Henne, who stands at a 6’3″, 228-pounds frame, edged out rookie QB Blake Bortles.
Through three preseason games, Henne completed 25 out of his 38 attempted passes for 230 yards a 65.8% completion mark. Henne has thrown one touchdown and zero picks thus far. The signal caller recorded a 90.9 rating.
Bortles completed 28 out of 45 attempted passes for 435 yards and a 62.2% completion mark. Bortles has thrown one touchdown and zero picks, and compiled a 101.6 rating.
Bortles has played very well, but the Jags made the right decision sticking with the veteran. Bortles needs time to develop, and Henne is a formidable option at the moment.
