Wide receiver Steve Smith Sr.’s tenure Carolina Panthers lasted a whopping 13 years. However, this offseason, his longtime employer gave him the pink slip.
Many thought Smith, who turned 35 in May, was washed up. Smith ended up signing with the Baltimore Ravens.
Through four games this season, Smith has absolutely flattened any doubt regarding how much fire he has left or how much gas is still in the tank.
And when the Ravens hosted Carolina on Sunday, Smith dominated the ballgame. Smith caught seven receptions, 139 yards, and two touchdowns.
Smith’s physicality enabled him to tack on extra yards, but the wideout also displayed top-tier agility on the gridiron.
Smith’s productivity and a strong overall team performance led to a 38-10 victory over his former team.
