After a road victory against the Seattle Seahawks, the Dallas Cowboys are 5-1 and riding a five-game win streak.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo completed 21 of his 32 pass attempts for 250 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Running back DeMarco Murray piled up 115 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
The Seahawks fell to 3-2 and lost at home for only the second time since 2012.
The Cowboys have certainly impressed thus far in 2014. Along with their 21-point comeback against the St. Louis Saints and their 38-17 win on the road against the New Orleans Saints, today emphasized that the Cowboys are for real. However, the Cowboys will have to edge the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, who are 4-1 heading into tonight’s matchup.
For the Cowboys to have continued success, their defense can bend but cannot break. They are 21st in the league in total defense, but are doing enough to let the offense follow the gameplan and run the ball.
If Murray continues to tire out defenses and the defense holds up, the Cowboys could find themselves in the playoffs in January.
