According to FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer, the New York Jets traded a draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for wide receiver/returner Percy Harvin.
Less than 24 hours after a 27-25 loss to the New England Patriots, the Jets acquired the dynamic weapon. The offense needs the spark; the unit ranks 26th in the league in yards/game.
Quarterback Geno Smith has chucked seven interceptions thus far. Adding another target to take pressure off of fellow Jets WR Eric Decker will be beneficial.
Harvin will add immediate value to both the Jets’ offense and special teams. He wasn’t a great fit in the Seahawks’ offense, and should, at the very least, spark the Jets’ quiet offense.
