Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly announced that quarterback Nick Foles will be sidelined six to eight weeks with a broken left collarbone suffered during the Eagles’ 31-21 victory over the Houston Texans.
Backup QB Mark Sanchez, who posted completed 15 of his 22 attempts for two touchdowns and two picks, will continue filling in for Foles.
Thus far in 2014, Foles is 187 of 312 for 2163 yards, 13 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. After their most recent victory, the Eagles are 6-2.
With Foles out, the Eagles will continue to rely on their strong run game, which is ranked fourth in the entire league.
