Golden Analysis: Odell’s Snag

During the New York Giants’ 31-28 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made a catch for the ages.

Beckham Jr.’s catch, which was hauled in during the second quarter, happened during a first and ten in the Cowboys’ territory. Beckham Jr. shared the right side of the line of scrimmage with a tight end.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning faked left and bootlegged right. The tight end stayed in and blocked, which gave Manning just enough time to launch the pass.

Beckham Jr. only needed three fingers to catch the touchdown, and the rest was history. He recorded 10 receptions, 146 yards, and two touchdowns during the loss.
