Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will undergo surgery on his left hand. Murray injured his hand during the 10-4 Cowboys’ 38-27 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cowboys COO Stephen Jones told KRLD-FM that the Cowboys haven’t ruled Murray out of their Week 16 tilt versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Murray has been phenomenal this season. Murray’s 1687 rushing yards are first in the league by over 400 yards. Murray has 351 carries and 11 rushing touchdowns, which also leads the league.
If the Cowboys are going to have success in late December and in January, Murray needs to be 100%. He will be the centerpiece of the offense as the race for playoff spots heat up.
