NFC: (2) Green Bay Packers @ (1) Seattle Seahawks, 3:05 EST, FOX
Despite a torn calf, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 24 of his 35 pass attempts for 316 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He will need another fantastic performance against the Seahawks, who had the league’s top defense in the regular season.
Offensively, the Seahawks will be looking to ground and pound the football with running back Marshawn Lynch. The Seahawks’ secondary is facing a top-notch offense.
Prediction: Packers, 30, Seahawks, 24
AFC: (4) Indianapolis Colts @ (1) New England Patriots, 6:40 EST, CBS
The Colts defeated the Denver Broncos last week 24-13. The Colts’ run game is starting to pick up, and QB Andrew Luck has established himself as one of the top signal callers in the league. Defensively, the Colts have an array of coverages and blitzes, and will have to mix up their play selection to stop Patriots QB Tom Brady.
This game mark’s Brady’s ninth career AFC Championship appearance.
Prediction: Patriots, 34, Colts, 27
