Golden Analysis: Wilson’s Emergence

For the second consecutive season, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is preparing for the Super Bowl. Wilson is only in his third year in the league.

The 5’11”, 203-pound signal caller has deflected questions regarding his height. However, questions may be answered, but Wilson, alike every other NFL player, will be tested constantly.

And this Super Bowl test is against New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and the Pats’ defense, which ranked eighth in the league in points per game (19.6) during the regular season.

Wilson’s emergence has largely been due to his football IQ and mobility and vision in and outside of the pocket. Against the Patriots, preparation and balancing the run with the pass will be key.
