Blount Suspended

The reigning Super Bowl champions will be without a key offensive player for their regular season opener in 2015.

The NFL suspended New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount for one game for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Blount spent the beginning of the 2014 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the Steelers and Patriots last fall, Blount totaled 541 rushing yards on 125 carries (4.4 yards/rush) and five touchdowns, and tacked on 189 more yards and three touchdowns in the playoffs.
