The NFL suspended Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell for three games, per ESPN Insider Adam Schefter. Bell will appeal the suspension.
Bell is the Steelers’ workhorse. In 2014, Bell ran for 1361 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 290 attempts (4.7 yards/rush average). The former Michigan State Spartan also hauled in three receiving touchdowns.
Bell’s suspension comes on the heels of New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount’s one-game ban. Blount and Bell were teammates in Pittsburgh during the beginning part of the 2014 season.
