The NFL suspended New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady four games, fined the Patriots $1 Million, and docked a 2016 first round pick and a 2017 fourth round pick days after Ted Wells’ Deflategate report was published.
Deflategate has loomed over the Patriots’ post-Super Bowl victory celebration ever since they defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 back in February.
Most would have never imagined seeing “suspended” following Brady’s name, but as soon as the Wells report was published, a suspension—right or wrong—was expected.
At the moment, backup Patriots QB Jimmy Garappolo is the next man up. He was a 2014 second round pick out of Eastern Illinois University.
