Fantasy: Giants’ Wideouts

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. quickly became quarterback Eli Manning’s go-to target as a rookie. In just 12 regular season games, OBJ recorded 91 receptions, 1305 receiving yards (14.3 yards/rec avg), and 12 touchdowns.

Last season, fellow Giants WR Rueben Randle, who played with Beckham Jr. at LSU, registered 71 receptions, 938 receiving yards (13.2 yards/rec avg), and three touchdowns, respectively.

OBJ and Randle both played well in WR Victor Cruz’s absence. Cruz is recovering from a torn patellar tendon. Depending on Cruz’s health, Randle’s fantasy value could drop because he could be pushed from second to third on the depth chart.

Beckham Jr. is likely a high pick, and Randle could be a mid-round pick. Randle did get 127 targets in 2014, and he is in a great position to get in the end zone more. Cruz is a riskier pick, but has good value in middle and late rounds.
