Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson signed a four-year, $87.6 Million contract extension, per Peter King of MMQB.si.com. The deal includes a $31 Million signing bonus and $60 Million in guarantees.
Wilson, the Seahawks’ 2012 third round pick (75th overall), has established himself as one of the top signal callers in the league. Wilson is a two-time Pro Bowler and won Super Bowl XLVIII.
In the 2014 regular season, Wilson completed 285 of 482 passes (63.1% completion), and totaled 3475 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and seven picks. Wilson ran for 849 yards and six touchdowns on 118 attempts.
Wilson is a premier quarterback, and having contract security could be very beneficial this season and beyond.
