Houston Texans running back Arian Foster suffered a groin injury and will have surgery. Foster is expected to miss half the season, per the Houston Chronicle.
Foster is the centerpiece of the Texans’ offense, and with an unsettled quarterback situation, and the Texans need a steady, consistent running game.
The Texans brought in free agent RB Pierre Thomas, but the two parties couldn’t reach a deal. The Texans certainly could sign a free agent back to help replace some of Foster’s production while he is sidelined.
