Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is day-to-day after suffering a sprained AC joint and torn ligaments in his shoulder during the Steelers’ 18-16 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round.
Roethlisberger left the game after he was sacked by Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Roethlisberger left the game, returned, and led a drive that ended with Steelers kicker Chris Boswell’s game-winning field goal.
Roethlisberger’s status for the Steelers’ upcoming playoff game against the Denver Broncos is yet to be determined, but according to a source, Roethlisberger is “very likely” to play. However, star Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown isn’t expected to suit up. The same source stated that it’s “not looking good” for Brown at the moment. Brown was also injured by Burfict and is in concussion protocol.
The Steelers and the Broncos will play in Denver on Sunday at 4:40 EST.
