New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis is confident that quarterback Drew Brees is the team’s QB of the “foreseeable future.”
Brees, who is 37 years old, is entering the final season of his five-year, $100 Million deal. Brees’s $30 Million cap hit is the biggest of any player in the league and accounts for nearly 20% of the team’s cap space. A contract extension would benefit the Saints immensely.
In 2015, Brees completed 428 of 627 pass attempts (68.3% completion rate) for 4870 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
