Former Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III signed with the Cleveland Browns. RG3 was the second overall draft pick in 2012.
At the end of an impressive rookie campaign where the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner led the Redskins to the playoffs, was elected to the Pro Bowl, and won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, injuries began to derail his career. RG3 tore his ACL and LCL during the playoffs of his rookie season, and has yet to match the success he had prior to the injury.
Griffin’s contract with the Browns is for two years and has $6.75 Million in guarantees. RG3 could start Week One, but the Browns will likely draft a quarterback early in the draft. While Griffin might not be the QB of the future in Cleveland, he has a great opportunity to get on the field and get his career back on track.
