San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen landed a four-year, $45 million extension worth up to $49 million in incentives, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The deal reportedly includes $20 million guaranteed.
Allen missed eight games in 2016 due to a lacerated kidney, but he tallied 67 receptions, 725 yards, and four touchdowns through the first half of the regular season. Allen had the third-most receptions over an eight-game span in NFL history, behind Julio Jones and Marvin Harrison.
If he’s healthy, Allen has the potential to make a huge impact on the field.
