Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Michael Oher signed a three-year contract extension worth $21.6 million ($9.5 million guaranteed), per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. In 2015, Oher signed a two-year, $7 million deal.
Oher and the Panthers advanced to Super Bowl L, where they lost to the Denver Broncos 24-10.
Oher was drafted in the first round of the 2009 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He played in Baltimore from 2009-2013 and won Super Bowl XLVII. He played for the Tennessee Titans in 2014. Oher’s life is featured in the movie and book The Blind Side.
