The New York Jets and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick finally agreed to a contract. Fitz returns to the Gang Green on a one-year deal worth $12 million, per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
Fitzpatrick had a career year in 2015, and led the Jets to a 10-6 record. Prior to signing with the Jets last year, Fitzpatrick had played for five teams during the ten years he’s been in the NFL.
The Jets were in the hunt for the playoffs last year, and certainly will be in the mix for a playoff berth in 2016. With Fitzpatrick leading the offense, the Jets are in position to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
