The Minnesota Vikings fell to 5-3 with a 22-16 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. After starting 5-0, the Vikings cooled off. The Vikings have lost three straight games following their bye week.
The Vikings had a 16-13 lead with 23 seconds left, but Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford completed two passes that set up kicker Matt Prater’s 58-yard field goal.
While the Vikings played better in this loss than they had in the previous two, they showed their need for improvement. The Vikes will try to get back on track when they play the Washington Redskins this week.
